About Karlee Carpenter

I enrolled at Universal Technical Institute, also known as UTI, summer of 2017 and began taking classes in September 2017. Here I completed all Automotive and Diesel Industrial courses. After graduation, I moved on to taking the Peterbilt Technical Institute program, otherwise known as PTI. Here I learned brand specific information such as, advanced diagnostics, Paccar engine work, Peterbilt electrical, driveline/suspension, etc. After graduating this 3 month course, I accepted a position as a J2 level technician at JX Truck Center in Kalamazoo Michigan. Here I began my journey of diesel/industrial technology. I performed preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, all types of repair, etc. I applied my knowledge learned in school to my daily tasks. Later on, I accepted a service advisor position. This is my current position. I utilize resources including dealer specific programs, email, excel, and phone calls. My day to day tasks include, customer communication, preparing and dispatching repair orders, selling product and labor, and much more. I work closely with management to manage shop flow. There's always much to be done and much to learn. My goal is to continue learning. I enjoy my job and have a passion for the trucking industry.
