About Karlo Kukec

My professional career started in 2007 in a software development company. In 2008 I took the role of an assistant manager at TECH_PARK Varazdin to write project proposals, manage projects and mentor startups. During the course of my work at TECH_PARK, I helped over 50 SMEs receive grants for early stage development of their innovative products and services via a national PoC (Proof of concept) fund. My client list includes some of the most innovative Croatian SMEs, such as Altpro, Ekobit, NTH Media, Citus, Degordian, Mobilisis and Sedam IT. My international project management experience includes the implementation of over 40 EU funded projects. In 2015 I participated in a US Department of State's and WorldChicago's Professional Fellows Program. The program brings emerging leaders from around the world to the United States for intensive fellowships designed to broaden their professional expertise. In April 2017 I won the Ignite pitch competition held at the International conference on business incubation in Seattle, Washington. In January 2018 I took the role of TECH_PARK Varaždin managing director to manage the TECH_PARK 4040 sqm reconstruction project and implement new initiatives such as Voogle accelerator, TECH_PARK TrepDays, MakerSpace Varaždin and WorldChicago in-country partnership. In November 2022 I joined the Invento Capital Partners team where I am working on the ideation and implementation of projects and business support solutions in the field of urban mobility and deep tech. PMP® certified.
