As someone who has experienced the child welfare system firsthand, I am deeply committed to advocating for and supporting the well-being of children and families. My journey has given me a unique perspective and a profound understanding of the challenges and needs within the system. This personal connection drives my passion to give back and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. With a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences degree in psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Masters of Social Work with an emphasis on child welfare from Metropolitan State University of Denver I have honed my skills in on case management, cultural competence, problem solving, and empathy. My professional experiences during my time with Boulder County Housing and Human Services have equipped me with the tools to make a tangible impact, whether through direct support, policy advocacy, or community outreach. I am dedicated to creating positive change and fostering environments where children can grow, learn, and feel safe. By leveraging my personal insights and professional expertise, I aim to be a catalyst for improvement in the child welfare system.
