As an employee of the MS Dept. of Mental health for the last 22 years I understand Mental Health Services particularly for individuals with IDD. 11 years of my experience was working with Juvenile Delinquents with Intellectual and Cognitive Developmental Issues who was court ordered and/or family placed with a SPED diagnosis and/or Intellectual Disability to the receive mental health rehab services. 10 years of my experience is working with Special Needs population with various Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities such as Autism Spectrum, ADHD and other Behavioral Disorders. I love what I do and my goal is to provide these individuals with as much independence as possible along with the help of their family members to gain skills for continued adaptive and cognitive development. I also aim to ensure each individual leave with the necessary skills to live out their full potential in their least restrictive environment to help build self- esteem, self-development, and independence.
