About Karolina Mojzesowicz
Karolina Mojzesowicz lives in Brussels. 2003-2014 she was a Member of the Legal Service of the European Commission. She has extensive litigation experience, representing the European Commission before the European Court of Justice and the EU General Court in over 90 cases, in particular in the fields of EU competition and telecommunication law, as lead counsel (in three different languages) or as co-counsel in cases in other languages. 2010 - 2014 she represented the EU before the Panels and the Appellate Bodies of the World Trade Organisation. Apart from her tasks in litigation, as a member of the Legal Service she also provided independent legal advice to the Commission and its members in matters of EU competition and telecommunication law and trade law (providing legal opinions, as required by the Commission's internal rules, on all drafts of legislation, decisions and any document having legal implications). As of December 2014 she leads the team working on the data protection reform. 2016 she was nominated deputy head of unit Data Protection.
