About Karoline Manny

In my current position as an Instruction and Assessment Librarian at Centre College, I support faculty, students, and other university constituents using academic research, AI and digital scholarship tools. I seek to facilitate and promote the scholarly conversation by supporting the production, dissemination, and curation of scholarly works in an open and digital environment. I also strive to provide active, visible, and collaborative academic leadership through outstanding strategic planning, evidence-based decision making and continuous assessment. I have had a rich professional life. My career began as a university professor of Spanish language and literature (Rollins College, University of Central Florida, Eastern Kentucky University). As the Internet emerged, my focus shifted to instructing faculty to teach with technology, using pedagogically sound practice (Seminole State College, Midway University). I have a graduate certificate in Computer Forensics, a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science and a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and Linguistics. Because of my broad educational experience, I am in a position to offer a unique perspective on the use of emerging technology in libraries and higher education.
