About Karoly Frei

I have over 20 years of project management experience gained through IT related, large-scale projects, working for various financial institutions. My specialty is being ‘thrown-into’ internal project-teams to lead an often messy project idea and the given team through various challenges. Such challenges may require equal amounts of budget planning skills, financial and IT related hard-knowledge and soft-skills for managing all the stakeholders and the project team for success. As a project-based freelancer expert, I pride myself on being transparent and honest; people-focused to reach the goals set up by the sponsor of the project; and motivating my given team to reach our goal in the most efficient manner. Feedback from others highlight my ability to see various correlations, quickly being able to connect the dots for succeeding and moving on to the next step within the project itself. I can effectively formulate a ‘bridge’ of common understanding between IT professionals, non-IT stakeholders and the project team. I find challenges and complications within projects to be a positive stress factor and can cut through the maze quite quickly. I enjoy organising, planning, thinking of ‘Plan Bs’ and understanding what makes project sponsors ‘tick’.
