My professional experience in social care spans over twenty-years. Within my current role of Head of services, I champion harm reduction and assertive engagement approaches which strengthen integrated interagency collaboration and effectively engage typically hard to reach groups, foster inclusion and combat the factors which challenge engagement. I am particularly passionate about working with those most marginalised in society presenting with multifaceted and complex needs through enhancing the provision of trauma informed preventative and rehabilitation services required to meet the diverse health and social care needs of the homeless population particularly those with complex needs. This led me to complete a MSc in Health and Social Inclusion which responds to health inequities and social exclusion experienced by many people and communities.
