About Karsten Boldt
After studying biology at the University of Tuebingen, I joined Professor Ueffing’s group for Protein Analytics at the Helmholtz-Zentrum in Munich for my PhD thesis in 2005. After a short period as post doctoral researcher in the same group, I moved to Tübingen in 2010 to establish the Medical Proteome Center together with Professor Ueffing, where I am now group leader for proteomics. Since 2005, I was developing and applying mass spectrometry based quantitative protein complex analysis strategies with a focus on comparative analysis of disease associated protein complexes. Curently I am actively involved in two EU-Projects, aiming to analyse protein networks on the systems level (Syscilia: PRIMES: Specialties: Protein complex analysis, quantitative mass spectrometry, protein analytics
