About Karsten Rinas

Interdisciplinary scientist with 5+ years of research experience in bioinformatics, cell biology, oncology and immunology. My scientific curiosity had given me the opportunity to work in different laboratories in Germany, Canada, UK and India, both performing basic science and collaborating with multiple industry partners. My role primarily involves the analysis and integration of transcriptomics, proteomics and lipidomics data. I develop bioinformatics pipelines in python and R for processing, quality control, statistical analysis and mining of omics data generated in the group. As a PhD student, I investigate and compare the biological effect of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies like trastuzumab and biosimilars on cancer cell lines utilizing RNA-seq and proteomics experiments.
