About Karuna N.

I am very passionate about yoga in its entirety and have dedicated my life to teaching people the yogic way of life to improve their quality of life. I have Doctoral degree in Yoga along with specialization in music therapy, and I have been in this field for the last 14 years. I am the Founder and Managing trustee of Svaraveda Foundation, an institution exclusive for music therapy courses and research. I have involved myself deeply in several areas of yoga and have developed modules for yoga along music therapy for various ailments. I have several research papers to my credit in the area of music and Cardiac Autonomic function and Cognitive Functions; music therapy modules in various indexed journals. i am guiding six PhD students in the area of music therapy. I am also the official author of Yoga textbooks for National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE), Quality Council of India for Certification of Yoga Professionals supported by Ministry of Ayush, National Institute of Open Schooling ( NIOS), Member of Yoga Textbook committee for Central Universities under UGC. I have also served as an international Yoga Examiner in Japan, China and several other geographies, and worked with several countries' agencies to make yoga a way of life.
