About Karvan Kaushal

As a Research Scholar, with a focus on developing an Fabry-Perot interferometer cavity based sensors, I have consistently sought out new challenges and opportunities to grow and learn in this exciting field. In the beginning of my research work in Micro and Nano Optics Centre department in CSIR-CSIO,Chandigarh,India, my focus was to develop an Fabry-Perot Interferometer cavity with polymer material on its end facet on an single mode optical fiber. Currently, I am in the midst of my third year as a Ph.D. candidate, where I am further exploring the possibility of bringing developed Fabry-Perot cavity in VOC sensing with selectivity. In my research journey till now, I do also have experience in theoretical simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics Software (Wave Optics module) and familiar with MATLAB and C++. Furthermore, I have been awarded with DST-INSPIRE fellowship for the tenure of five years. I have owned my analytical and creative thinking skills as well as my ability to effectively solve problems, manage assigned tasks and collectively work with team members. My ultimate goal is to use my skills and expertise in research to bring innovative ideas and further in technology to ease human life.
