About Karyn Chalk

I am an experienced personal development consultant, life coach, advocate and mediator with a varied career balanced with quality education and life experience. My style has been described as warm and engaging yet skilled at identifying the heart sticky issues. Specialist areas include coaching individuals who are experiencing workplace conflict to understand themselves better and develop strategies to manage difficult times. As a Mediator my strength lies in repairing relationships where trust has been broken and promoting successful outcomes through honest conversations and conflict coaching. Over the last 5 years I have also specialised in helping parents get through tough times and authored a book called ' responding to tricky teens' of which over 1500 copies have been sold. My background as a Trainer, Facilitator and Clinical Supervisor at Department of Corrections combined with over 20 years as a life coach and conflict resolution consultant has fine-tuned my ability to get on with people from all walks of life. These skills also provide a valuable grounding when providing mediation services to couples who want to separate and keep the interests of their children at heart or workplace employees needing to resolve conflicts in a respectful and progressive way. My other interests include cycling, organic gardening and taking my 2-year-old on outdoor adventures.
