About Kasey Bennett

I am a professional troubleshooter.Previously, I worked for over four years at Barnes & Noble solving people's book-related problems. I found the best gifts for those hard-to-shop-for dads and walked parents and young teens through the Young Adult department for the first time.(I promise YA isn't scary, parents!) I worked side-by-side with New York Times bestselling authors as a handler during the yearly store managers conference. And I still found the time to find age-appropriate books for middle-grade readers with insanely high Lexile scores.I took my problem-solving skills from the retail world to higher education where I currently work with UCF students, staff and faculty, and the general public in the Curriculum Materials Center (CMC). We are the "other library" and, unfortunately, one of the best kept secrets on main campus. I not only provide professional customer service to patrons, but also work diligently on promoting our services through original social media content, brochures, and flyers. Beyond managing and growing our social media platforms and creating promotional materials, I have also assisted on a variety of projects and committees for both the CMC and John C. Hitt Library.My ten-year plan is to write a New York Times bestseller for middle-grade or young adult readers. My back-up plan is to take over the world.
