About Kash Vaughn

Professionally, I find great joy in seeing my work through to the end. There’s nothing better than to be shown gratitude when you’re doing something that drives you. Currently, I handle high volume hospital staffing. This includes shuffling caregivers and playing Tetris to ensure that units are staffed appropriately, with regard to their patient count. As we know, with the surge in covid cases, nursing burnout is real. It is my job to work with the caregivers I have pre-scheduled and place them on a unit based on need and their skill set. The ultimate task is to safeguard patients and caregivers. Additionally, when the hospital is short staffed, I must exhaust all efforts to recruit caregivers and get them scheduled to work at a moments notice. My past roles in sales and customer service have shaped my ability to build meaningful relationships. This is a skill that will help me continue to network and enhance my career portfolio. Outside of work, I keep my skills fresh by journaling and listening to podcasts. One quote I live by is, “If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.” My favorite thing to do is listen to podcasts that water me and make me grow.
