About Kashika Saluja

As a first-year master’s student in Counseling Psychology at Amity University, I am dedicated to becoming a highly effective counselor and psychologist. As a Psychology major in my Undergraduate from the University of Delhi, I developed a solid foundation of psychological principles and practices, I was able to acquire research, experimental, problem solving and communication, empathic skills. Over the past six years, I have actively engaged in community service through collaborations with orphanages, NGOs, and mentoring students, all of which have enriched my understanding of human behavior and the impact of compassionate support. In my role as an Enactus member at my college, my ability to think objectively and analyze information from multiple perspectives is enhanced. This experience, combined with my work on projects such as ECOF and SILSA, has strengthened my research skills and equipped me to approach complex problems with a well-rounded perspective. Internships and volunteer work have reinforced my commitment to bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. These experiences have not only refined my research and data management skills but have also underscored the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in providing effective psychological support. I have am fluent in English and Hindi, with intermediate proficiency in German, which enhances my ability to connect with diverse individuals, explore how people learn languages and the methods used to facilitate this process and study the relationship between language and culture, and how language influences and reflects cultural practice. I am passionate about creating a warm, inclusive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. My approach is guided by empathy, a commitment to personal growth, and a dedication to leveraging evidence-based practices to support individuals in their journey towards mental well-being. I am enthusiastic about connecting with fellow professionals and advocates who share my dedication to mental health and holistic well-being. I am eager to embrace new challenges and opportunities to further my development and make a meaningful impact as a counselor and psychologist.
