About Kaspars Freibergs

I manage the outsourcing of the operations function within SumUp.For the past five years, I have been working and deepening my understanding of the world of operations within the Fintech industry. I am currently working as a Business Process Outsourcing manager at SumUp and manage new and existing BPO partner relationships.My journey through operations started at the very heart of it, the customer service agent role which I hold dear to my heart. After a year and a half of supporting English and Latvian merchants at SumUp, I moved to a Team Leader role in which I led a team of 10 customer support agents. Slightly more than a year later I was presented with an opportunity to lead a group of 7 team leaders with a total team size of close to 60 customer service experts supporting various products, markets and functions within operations. All of the customer support-related roles at SumUp have allowed me to deepen my knowledge of customer support and operations while developing my team-leading, management, communication, and negotiation skills all at the same time. Last but not least comes the latest and my current role as a BPO manager in which I will be able to learn even more about the vast universe that is business process outsourcing and operations.
