About Kasper Flatland Solbu

Kasper F. Solbu has achieved a Ph.D. degree at the University of Oslo (UiO) within chemical work environment during work at the National Institute of Occupational Health, Norway (NIOH). In 2015 he qualified as a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH). This, in combination with a master degree (M.Sc.) within analytical chemistry, has given Solbu a specialized knowledge with combination of the diciplines of analytical chemistry and chemical work environment. He has a wide experience and expertise in analytical method development and assessment and measurement of chemical exposure (such as in the aviation industry, and the offshore oil and gas industry), which has been especially valuable for projects concerning chemical work environment. From the activities as occupational hygienist and postgraduate studies, Solbu has also earned wide knowledge and experience within the field of occupational hygiene. He has experience with use and interpretation of the Working Environment Act and the Working Environment Regulations and Norwegian Inspection Authority guidelines, and is also familiar with the Construction Client Regulation and the COSHH regulations in UK. Solbu has also worked with development and teaching of HSE courses, including courses for NEBOSH- and W201-certification.
