About Kassahun Kumsa

Certified Project Management Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. Specialized in Integrated Project Monitoring and Evaluation, with 15 years of experience in developing and implementing project and country level Monitoring and Evaluation Systems. This includes: multimillion dollar grant proposal writing (OCHA; SIDA; UNICEF; UNHCR; DFSA of USAID; OFDA-IDP Response; USDA–FFE; USDOL; DfID); designing and executing community Development projects; child sponsorship project development; Evaluations design, implementation and overall Qualitative and Quantitative research data collection protocols. I possess over 5 years of leadership experience (mainly technical leadership) for non-profit humanitarian organizations. In the past, I have served in World Vision Ethiopia as:(a) National Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for Child Labour Project;(b) National Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy Initiative Specialist for 68 Programmes;(c) National Monitoring and Evaluation Capacity Building Specialist;(d) Planning and Reporting Expert for Kochore and Wonchi Programmes and (e) also served the Lutheran World Federation as Community Development Officer for its Jigjiga Integrated Community Development Programme. I have led various quantitative and qualitative researches, assessments, surveys, program designs, M&E System establishment and strengthening (MSS), M&E guideline development, program baseline and impact evaluations with application of rigorous evaluation models (PSM, DID, IV and RD). Skilled in Non-profit Organizations, Proposal Writing, Fundraising, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Policy Analysis. Strong professional with a Master's degree in Project Planning and Management from Debre Markos University and YOM Economic Development Institute.
