About Kassidy Witt

I am passionate about equity and community-driven change, with experience in teaching, leadership, and mentorship. My BA in Political Science from Trinity University deepened my understanding of systemic inequities and inspired my journey toward creating more inclusive opportunities. This foundation led me to join Teach for America, where I began my teaching career, and I am now pursuing my Master of Education in Secondary Education to continue growing my skills and impact. As a Middle School English Language Arts teacher, I have worked to improve student outcomes through curriculum development, reading proficiency initiatives, and school-wide collaboration as part of the Instructional Leadership Team. Outside the classroom, I coach athletic teams, facilitate Professional Learning Communities, and contribute to creating strategies that align with school goals. I also mentor future educators as an Activate Recruitment Fellow with Teach for America, helping candidates navigate transitions into teaching. In addition, as an Instructional Leader with Kode With Klossy, I teach coding and data science, introducing students to Python and SQL while fostering problem-solving and creativity. I believe that equity-focused work can create meaningful change, and I am excited to connect and explore new opportunities to make a difference.
