I had dreamed of playing big-time college volleyball on the West Coast. But there is was loud and clear in my rejection letter: “We aren’t looking for someone of your size and stature.”That coach knew that I was a stingy 5’4”. But he didn’t know my, my fight, and my promise to work harder than anyone else in the gym.
