My name is Kat. With over 25 years of experience in the dental industry, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to transform dental practices with proven leadership and operational excellence. I have a strong background in business administration and management, as well as extensive knowledge and skills in various aspects of dentistry, ranging from oral surgery to endodontics. With a background in Business, one might assume my career trajectory would diverge from the dental field. Yet, my affection for dentistry, with its intricate blend of science, art, and compassion, has only deepened over the years. This journey has led me from the cozy confines of private practices to the expansive realms of Large Dental Service Organizations (DSO) and Management Service Organizations (MSO), allowing me to experience the full gamut of dental environments. Working alongside a plethora of remarkable dentists and devoted teams has been nothing short of a privilege. The chance to build my own dental practice from scratch stands out as a pinnacle of my career. This endeavor was a deep dive into the heart of dentistry, where I had the joy of providing a wide range of services including general dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics. This venture wasn't just about care; it was about creating a welcoming space where patients felt seen, understood, and expertly treated. After lovingly nurturing this practice for 12 years, the decision to sell was bittersweet but driven by a larger vision—to make a meaningful impact within the DSO/MSO dental landscape. Transitioning to the DSO sector has been a thrilling chapter in my story. Here, I've forged strong bonds with visionary CEOs, stepping into the role of Director of Dental Operations. This position has challenged me to oversee an impressive array from 6 to 80 dental offices, guide over 60 dentists, and lead a robust team of more than 200 individuals. Each day is an opportunity to apply my unique blend of business insight and dental passion, striving to elevate practice operations and enrich patient experiences across the board.
