About Kat Sheppard

I love working on complex problems and finding innovative ways to provide simple and efficient solutions. I bring an analytical mind and creative approach to any team I am on. I recently graduated from the University of Toronto where I majored in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on solid mechanics and mechatronics. I am currently employed full-time at ZS Associates, a global management consulting firm where I am a Decision Analytics Associate. Previously, I was an Analyst at CIBC in the process management department where I trained on the Lean Six Sigma Green belt. Some of the skills I have developed through my experiences include excellent work ethic and motivation, along with strong time and project management. My education has helped me develop strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking. I’ve been able to develop excellent interpersonal skills, building relationships with peers and teammates through strong verbal and written communication. I’ve honed my presentation and analytical skills while continuing to learn in each role I take on. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, boating, and skiing. I love to read and cook, and am currently taking a wine course at George Brown college.
