About Katarzyna Dombrowicz

I'm a former PhD candidate who decided to pursue her career in the academic administration. While I wholeheartedly love conducting research, I did not want it to become my job. I will always remain a scholar at heart, but I prefer to keep research as my hobby. That being said, I'm still very closely attached to the academia, which is why I've decided to pursue the career in the administration of University of Warsaw. My lived experience of being a PhD candidate and knowledge of the doctoral degree awarding process, allow me to be of help to the PhD candidates and their supervisor. And this is what I always wanted to do - just be helpful. It makes me happy to think that someone's life just got a little bit easier because of me, which is why I've picked a perfect career for myself. I firmly believe in treating people with kindness and respect they deserve. I try my best to make people feel like they are listened to and seen. I strive for constant improvement of both my skills and the processes which I supervise. As an ardent believer in an idea of lifelong learning, I try to learn something new every single day. And lastly, if I could pick a dream job, I most certainly would be a cat.
