About Kate Allen

I have been in the independent veterinary sector since 2017, having come from a varied employment & business ownership background of business consultancy, retail, hospitality and estate management. Since joining Hook Norton Veterinary Group as Practice Manager, my role and responsibilities have constantly evolved to reflect the needs of the business. Now, as Managing Director, I continue to support the Directors in formulating strategies to future proof the business and navigate an ever-changing business climate, alongside running the business operations with responsibility for the finance, H&S, HR, facilities, customer care, pharmacy & procurement and nursing. In addition to this role, I am also a Director of XL Vets UK Ltd, of which HNVG are a founding member, which is a community of independently-owned veterinary practices across the UK. This allows me to further my understanding of the veterinary industry and actively support and collaborate with our network of members. I am fiercely committed to positive change, fairness and equality in the workplace.
