About Kate Aston

I am a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering exceptional business performance amidst challenging landscapes. With over 14 years’ experience in leadership (corporate strategy, marketing, communications, sales and customer experience) roles, I have worked across a number of industries including politics, education, health, not-for-profit, automotive and more recently, financial services, property investment, infrastructure, as well as property and community development. With cross-category experience, I deliver the most value to clients and employers who are focussed on high-involvement engagements in both the B2C and B2B space. Moreover, I am a “big picture” thinker and perform best when I have the scope to operate across disciplines in my delivery of exceptional end-to-end customer/client experiences. I am also committed to early and effective stakeholder engagement to bring about change and foster ongoing support for growth. Having commenced my career as a Senior Policy and Media Adviser within the Federal Government, I developed an early appreciation for the benefit of bringing key parties along on the journey, ultimately ensuring long-term backing. Within several organisations, I have been responsible for comprehensive stakeholder management campaigns, namely- Creation of corporate vision frameworks for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders - Development of stakeholder mapping frameworks - Delivery of effective high-quality corporate communications (internal and external)- Provision of counsel to other c-suite leaders and CEOs - Ongoing coordination of the relationships between organisations and key stakeholder groups (e.g. employees, customers and clients, government/key regulators, industry, media and community). With an enthusiasm for mentorship and resource planning, I also strive to provide my clients and employers with the necessary tools to achieve sustainable growth well beyond my initial appointment. Finally, I am dedicated to pursuing the status of best in class for my clients and employers and set out to achieve this through the capture of market insights, strategic reputation building and above all, innovative ideation to ensure that the businesses I help ultimately gain competitive advantage.
