About Kate Barnes

Kia ora, I'm Kate. I'm a no nonsense, solution focused advisor to politicians and senior leaders at both local and national level. I help decision makers navigate politics and policy to deliver for constituents. From community halls to the halls of Parliament, I have over a decade's experience of delivering advocacy and good governance. I've turned my hand to consultation at the township level through to national legislative processes. I've delivered increased voter turnout, bucking national trends. I bring a fresh approach and new way of looking at the gnarly challenges of engaging our communities in democracy in the digital age. I'm committed to building new ways of doing democracy and decision making in Aotearoa - honouring Tiriti, accessible to all, and fit for the future. Talk to me about navigating decision making processes of all kinds. I'm honest, straightforward, and proactive - let me help you engage your community in democracy.
