Founder & CEO of iChangeCourse, Kate Bean empowers leaders to notice the power of choice in the now. Kate dedicates her practice to those who are committed to changing their lives so that they can impact the world and serve humanity in better ways. Currently a Fellow with Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative, Kate has embarked on a year-long immersion in learning, leadership development, and peer-to-peer collaboration, tackling society's most pressing challenges and discovering how to have a greater social impact. A true explorer of the human experience, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s quote ‘’The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Kate embarked on a year-long cross-country journey through 26 states, immersing herself in volunteer work. Along the way, she documented incredible stories of shared values, resilience, and the profound power of human connection. Following this remarkable journey, Kate founded iChangeCourse and is committed to helping individuals unlock their true potential by honing their ability to notice."Every journey I have taken in life has started with a connection. Where I find love and joy and gratitude, I know one journey is ending, and another is about to begin" With over three decades as a visionary leader in education, Kate is Founder of Aveson Charter Schools, she served as the Chief Executive Officer for 16-year tenure, pioneering the personalized learning model in the United States, challenging the traditional landscape of K-12 education. The launch of the Personalized Mastery Learning Network at Aveson attracted educators from around the world to witness the potential of Personalized Mastery Learning in action. Kate also established the Aveson Educational Cooperative, the first workers' cooperative for public school educators in California. Prior to these roles, she held positions as a school district administrator and a national education consultant. With a wealth of leadership expertise, and a trailblazer in public education innovation, leading the art of noticing and its potential to change the world. Kate’s journey is transformation, empowerment, and connection, making the world a better place one noticing at a time.
