I help people who are overwhelmed by their homes and their excess possessions to create a space that supports the life they want to live. Together, we'll pare down your possessions, organize your spaces, and create a warm home that restores your sense of calm control.I have been organizing for friends and family nearly all my life. I started as a child by organizing my toy chest (My husband thinks this is hilarious, but it's true!) and moved on to the room of my high school best friend who was a very organized student, but had a very messy room. Now, I help my clients sort through their things, determine what they really value and want to keep, and find simple, creative ways to store things neatly and in a way they can maintain.Do you have a closet that you dread opening? Just can’t figure out how to get the kitchen set up efficiently? Are you preparing for a big move and are overwhelmed with all your stuff? I will help you find solutions to streamline and manage these stressful situations.My diverse career background includes a degree in Art History, working in clothing manufacturing, a stint as an assistant buyer in a department store, being a milliner (hat maker), and owning a hat and shoe boutique. After selling the boutique, I spent about a decade as a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Since I had to learn to stay on top of things and manage different types of projects in each of these careers, they all inform my work as a Professional Organizer so that I’m able to size up any situation and create order.While every space has its limits, I want you to be able to hold on to the things that are important to you. Some people may prefer a space that is very pared down, while others love to live with lots of knick-knacks, family photos, antiques, and art objects. What's most important is that while we organize we create a space that is comfortable for you, easy for you to use, and reflects who you are.I look forward to helping you create a calm, organized space that will make your house a home.
