About Kate Buhr

As a Program Specialist at The Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning (CCRTL), I work with educators and leaders to design and implement culturally responsive practices that promote equity and achievement for all students. I have over five years of experience as an AVID Coordinator and AVID Elective Teacher, and two years of experience as an Instructional Coach at South Washington County Schools, where I led and facilitated key program initiatives, professional development, and collaboration among stakeholders. I am also pursuing my Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, with a focus on student equity and achievement. I hold a Master of Education (MEd) in Culturally Responsive Teaching from the same institution, as well as a Teacher Licensure in K-12 German from Bemidji State University, and a Bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature, International Studies, and Business Management from University of Missouri-Columbia. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive learning environment, fostering relationships, and building a high performing collaborative culture.
