About Kate Comer

My professional career began in Seoul, Korea as an ESL (English as a Second Language) kindergarten teacher.(Queue the K-Pop!) My love of teaching coupled with my level of patience have made me a natural fit in the classroom. Upon returning to the US, I pivoted to a software company, Benefitfocus. It was here that I realized my love of technology. My curious, beginner's mindset gave me the confidence to ask questions and learn as I went along. As I grew with the organization and started to lead teams, my passion for developing others was reignited. It was so rewarding to help team members excel in their careers. Whether someone just needed a vote of confidence, or a personalized career path, it was gratifying to see members of my team thrive in areas they'd only dreamed of. My career path is now as a Learning and Development Specialist, where I'm fortunate enough to combine my teaching and technology experience. I create engaging eLearning modules and facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions on topics such as Customer Service, Personal Branding, Diversity & Inclusion, and Inclusive Language. My mission is to help others grow and thrive through learning and wellness.
