About Kate Cooper

Seeing my work come to life brings me childlike joy. Being in this Outdoor Product Design and Development program allows me to explore and learn in the same ways I did growing up. I was always creating and making something, my passion for pursuing creativity started from an early age. I’ve been sewing for more than half of my life, and have spent my entire life recreating in the outdoors. I went on my first camping trip when I was four months old, and my family continues to explore together today. Having the ability to bring my designs full circle, from ideation to creation, gives me the greatest feeling of satisfaction. Everyone wants to pursue a career they are truly passionate and excited about. I believe this program and industry will put me on the path to living every day with childlike wonder, taking me back to the things I’ve truly loved to do since day one: create.
