About Kate Garner

I am an experienced local authority commissioner of community based preventative and carer support activity – working closely with the voluntary and community sector championing innovative and creative community led and peer to peer approaches. I now want to work with others to share my passion for, and experience of, community generated activity that supports people to find the solutions they’re looking for to stay well and independent, along with the development of spaces that enables this to happen. I believe that connections to the outdoors, creativity and friendship has a positive impact on our health and wellbeing and have a holistic understanding of communities and their resilience in overcoming historic and contemporary issues.
