A chartered Town Planner and member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, with 6 years experience in the Public Sector and over 6 years in the Private Sector. Extensive history of working within a Development Management Department for a Local Planning Authority, determining planning applications and developing local development plan policy. As a Senior Policy Planner I obtained practical experience in strategic thinking in reviewing, preparing and delivering Local Planning Policy. I produced Supplementry Planning Guidance, Availability Studies, Development Briefs and actively engaged in National Planning Policy changes. I also worked on the preparation and delivery of various assessments and appraisals relating to Local Planning Authority plans and programmes, including Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Sustainability Appraisal (SA) and Appropriate Appraisal (AA). Currently employed in the housing sector, working for Persimmon Homes. We work to facilitate deliverable and viable residential development which conforms with National and Local Development Plan Policy. We undertake master planning as part of a team for large scale development to build upon a concept which embraces the National and Local Policy aspirations in regards to place making, sustainable development and well-being. Planning for immediate and strategic development across South West Wales at a range of scales. Actively obtaining planning consent for residential sites, heavily engaged throughout the process from land acquisition to construction. Undertaking land searches to locate and evaluate future sites to progress through the development plan process.
