About Kate Hulse

I am a regular “Jack of all trades,” having many varying talents and experience. I am a Thespian and spent my youth and much of my early college years actively involved in school and community theater. I can dance, sing, act, publicly speak-even design sets and costumes. My creative energy extends to other fine arts, as I understand Adobe Creative Suite products, draw, paint, and even dabble in a little photography in my spare time. I began working when I was 15, working my way through various restaurant jobs, where I developed a passion for cooking and great food. I consider my skills in the kitchen to be one of my greatest talents, and constantly work at expanding my knowledge and understanding of culinary arts. I have a great passion for volunteer organizations, mentoring and leading. I was Woodbadge Leadership Trained with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and was heavily involved in a BSA Venturing Crew (the high adventure division of BSA) in my hometown in 2011. I love working with youth and adults alike to develop their outdoor skills and foster a love for nature. From 2015 through 2018, I participated in Arundel House of Hope’s Winer Relief program. This ecumenical organization relies on Segment Coordinators, such as myself, to represent a church that will participate as weekly shelter hosts, housing members of the houseless community through harsh winter months. I have recently relocated from Hawaii to Florida. Prior to my move, I was a full-time volunteer, serving as a US Navy Ombudsman, liaising between the commanding officer, executive officer, and command master chief of the USS Michael Murphy. Much like the “Jack” is a euphemism for the court jester in a deck of cards, beloved for their flexibility and juggling skills, I am flexible and talented at juggling. I was working part time, serving full time as a volunteer, attending school full time. My favorite saying is “Semper Gumby,” as flexibility and a good attitude are the key to successfully managing so many elements at once. I do my absolute best to supply the same energy to everything I do, inside and outside of work. All of these incredible and different experiences have led me to where I am today, having graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Development, settled in my new home, and ready apply all that I have experienced and learned toward being a valuable team member. I hope to one day be able to work with my colleagues to support where I can, mentor where possible, and do my very best to help others find peace and happiness within their workplace.
