About Kate Mayor

Kate is now head of legal of Charities Aid Foundation Group and secretary to the Trustees and enjoying it very much. It is a diverse and challenging role. Kate was a founding member of Vertex Law LLP. Kate qualified in 1989 having completed her articles in the city. On qualification she moved to a niche corporate/shipping practice. In 1992 she moved down to Maidstone where she specialised in the buying and selling of companies for a local PLC and general corporate and commercial work. Kate then moved to a Kent practice in 1996 and worked for the first four years on M&A work, and general commercial work. She now specialises in the commercial side of the business, in particular, drafting and advising public bodies on all forms of grant and service agreements, charitable governance documents, shareholder agreements and arrangements, partnership agreements, LLP deeds, incorporations, dissolutions and de-mergers, and re-organisations; terms and conditions of business, franchises, distribution, supply and agency agreements. Kate continues her desire to practice as a corporate lawyer providing a truly commercial and high quality service both in terms of legal advice and pro-active commercial assistance to clients.
