About Kate Meffen

I am passionate about improving the health care system, because I know we need to keep evolving if we are going to meet the needs of patients and health care staff! To help facilitate this, I bring experience and education in quality improvement, change management, project management, and adult education. I'm excited to currently be using these skills at the Provincial Health Services Authority to bring the Integrated Quality and Safety Strategy to life and measure the impact of more than 80 interrelated projects. In previous roles, I've coached teams to make measurable improvement in access to opioid agonist therapy in primary care and reductions in carbon emissions from both asthma inhalers and perioperative care across British Columbia. From my experience working across a wide range of health care settings and focus areas, I know that change is not easy, but when we come together around a common goal, we can take meaningful steps forward.
