I work in Education and Social Sciences and bring my background in Social Anthropology, Sociology and Sociolinguistics to my teaching and research. I have worked and researched across educational sectors and disciplinary boundaries and across a range of professional occupations. I have conducted extensive research on policy, curriculum making and pedagogy. My academic practice and research has a social justice focus and endeavours to promote equality and wider participation in education. I am currently particularly interested in developing research with a focus on climate action, deep ecology and community participaton as a way of combating not only the climate crises but also poverty through the promotion of connectivity, health and welbeing.
