About Kate Moffett

I am a clinical dietitian with experience in inpatient, oncology and weight management. I inform evidence based practice with encyclopedic knowledge of food gained as 10 years as a private chef. I am passionate about providing patient-centered care informed by evidence-based medicine. I believe in meeting a patient where they are at; they are the expert on their diets: I create individual nutrition prescriptions that are tailored to their nutrition status, medical nutrition needs and personal food preferences. I rely on the tenants of the nutrition care process and motivational interviewing to provide compassionate, supportive nutrition counseling. Food is extremely personal and I work with every patient until we find a solution that improves their nutrition status and improves their heath and lives that helps making lasting changes that are sustainable which can be integrated into the existing rubric of their life.
