About Kate Morawetz

As the Director of Digital Media at Entertainment Tonight Canada, I created, managed and delegated daily video and breaking news content for our website, as well as our various social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. As the team lead for all things video, I also worked with our talented producers to create innovative new digital series and social strategies across all platforms. I also worked as the liaison between our national broadcast show and the digital platforms, helping to delegate where our broadcast stories will live online. Entertainment Tonight Canada boasted over 1.1 million subscribers with 366.5 million average video views. On X (formerly Twitter) we had over 385K followers, which is over 2x our closest Canadian competitor and over 16.5 million video views. We had over 500K followers on Facebook, over 300K followers on Instagram, grew our TikTok to over 600K followers in a few years and nabbed the coveted one million subscribers button on our YouTube page. I also helped to brainstorm the look, feel and execution of stories and links for new half-hour specials like "Celebrity Canines","Vikings: A New World" and "Artists & Icons: Indigenous Entertainers In Canada". When time allowed, I produced daily broadcast stories and interviews with celebrities and experts for digital and broadcast segments. And occasionally hosted and produced our innovative half-hour LIVE program broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.
