About Kate Morris

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2017 with a degree in Creative Writing whilst working a number of customer service roles. In 2018 I joined Robin Hood Energy as a Voids Officer, working a number of council contracts to deliver homes to vulnerable people awaiting council houses by arranging the installation of smart meters and handling any queries from the council during the process. I harnessed my skills in business to business contact, phone enquiries, email management and customer service. Following the closure of Robin Hood Energy and my redundancy, I was thrilled to join the Nottingham Hospitals Charity as a Charity Assistant in February 2021. My role entailed receiving and processing all donations, for all areas of the Nottingham Hospitals Trust. I wrote correspondence including thank you letters and communicated with incredible fundraisers. The day to day role involved using a CRM (Raiser's Edge) to input, manage and store data received from donations. I developed my skills of managing online platforms such as Just Giving, Much Loved, Stewardship and more, exporting data and inputting into the CRM. In July 2023 I became the Individual Giving Assistant at Nottingham Hospitals Charity working closely with our incredible individual givers who are raising money for different areas of our hospitals. Meeting donors face to face to discuss their fundraising ideas and hear stories of how the hospital has been there for them through often difficult and testing situations was the highlight of my job. I spent time producing data sheets to convey income, helped produce project plans for appeals and campaigns and supported In Memory and Legacy donors closely, including leading on our Hayward House Tree Memory Tree Project and our Breast Institute Tree of Courage. I left Nottingham Hospitals Charity in May of 2024, to join Hope into Action UK, a homelessness charity where I could combine my passion for fundraising and my faith, becoming the Supporter Relations Coordinator. I have had experience of managing the communications and marketing of the charity, handling data and using a CRM (Harlequin) to communicate and engage with supporters.
