About Kate Mun

Kate Mun is a licensed certified social worker and consultant developing and delivering training, coaching and consulting services for private agencies engaged in youth and family services. After receiving her MSW from Salem State University, she joined Plummer Youth Promise to provide permanency services and case management for youth in foster care and their families. Kate has also worked as a clinician in residential treatment programs at Justice Resource Institute. Kate currently provides training, coaching and consulting services as part of the Plummer Permanency Practice Leadership Team. Kate additionally provides intensive permanency services and permanency mediation services for youth and their families. Kate has additional training and interest in mediation, collaborative problem-solving and special education. Kate is passionate about social justice and community service. Kate serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for HelpIs, a local non-profit that promotes kindness and provides direct support to youth in foster care, veterans, those experiencing homelessness and single parents struggling to provide for their children. Kate is also a transracial adoptive parent and former kinship and foster parent.
