About Kate Neeson

BSc Biochemistry with Professional Studies graduate from Queen’s University Belfast. During my final year, I completed a research project investigating the potential endocrine disrupting effects of nutritional contaminants on a key estrogen receptor involved in regulating female fertility. I conducted this research in an Institute for Global Food Security laboratory, gaining proficient experience in mammalian cell culture, conducting in vitro bioassays, and toxicological data analysis. I now work as a Laboratory Analyst at Almac Pharma Services, where I also completed an industrial placement year in 2022. I possess strong practical skills, developed in a fast-paced GMP environment, and have experience using a wide range of wet chemistry and analytical techniques, including HPLC, FTIR, UV and Karl Fisher titration for the identification of raw materials and APIs; meeting pharmacopoeial and client set standards.
