About Kate Nelson

I love museums! I enjoy learning and delving deeper into research as to better support the information I am finding. I love working in the museum field, connecting visitors with art and information that they seek. Working at a small museum for four years enabled me to experience many sides of the museum industry. I have hands-on experience in curatorial, archival, and administrative tasks as well as more front-line duties such as admissions and the museum store, which included processing sales and shipping internationally. Broadening my experince into a larger museum has enabled me to gain more skills in the field. My experience handling antique dolls and items in the curatorial department and museum store familiarized me with safe and archival storage of items.
