About Kate Pardy

As a dynamic leader and educator, I am dedicated to encouraging those in my team, students and clients to achieve their personal and professional aspirations. As a Career Practitioner and the manager of UNE's Career team, I take pride in having a human-centric, holistic approach to tailored career development. Through my role as Career Lead for the UNE career service, I manage a multifaceted team focused on providing accredited career development support and coaching, resources, and teaching through the suite of Professional Practice postgraduate courses and Work Integrated Learning units. My vision for the UNE Career team is to offer students a proactive and transformational career development learning experience. To build on students’ aspirations and help them develop a deeper understanding of the world of work through immersive learning experiences and fostering career management skills. With my team we are excelling at improving our career service by empowering students to confidently navigate their academic and post-university journey, shaping their career thinking and preparing them for the complexities of the modern workforce. I strongly believe that all things are possible when you approach life and work with a sense of optimism, creativity, humour and curiosity. It also doesn’t hurt to not take yourself too seriously and embracing life's little joys. I will unashamedly admit to being a dog enthusiast, a coffee lover, a bad singer, and someone passionate about her team and work.
