About Kate Rawlinson

Hello! I am a veterinarian who graduated cum laude from Iowa State University in May 2022. Prior, I had a strong background in both equine and small animal veterinary practice. I was heavily involved in 4H growing up and developed an interest in this career field stemming from my experiences showing and owning horses. I manage my own business, KMR Equestrian, where I specialize in teaching the basics of horseback riding and correct young horse starting. My hobbies include training up the dressage levels with my Morgan gelding, Image, hiking with my English Lab, Jade, and baking all the cookies you can imagine. Before vet school, I worked as a veterinary assistant/student intern in equine and small animal private practice and shelter medicine. My career interests include critical care, advanced reproductive techniques, and individualized client education. I value maintaining an appropriate work-life balance while operating efficiently in all aspects.
