On November 26th I stumbled upon a Facebook ad for a roommate 1,600 miles away. On December 1st I was on a plane from Kentucky to Salt Lake City with a new lease and two suitcases. Not for school, not for my career, just for something new."What if you feel lonely?""What if you can't afford it?""What if it's hot?"-Questions from family, friends, and myself. But I also asked myself,"What if it works?""What if this is the best thing to ever happen to me?" Risk-taking is a personal and professional core value of mine. I strive to create safe spaces for others to explore possibility in the workplace and their careers. In my time as a people manager at Noom, I challenged my team to be vulnerable, explore different coaching methods, and that failure isn't fatal. Now, I am working with Golden Hippo as a talent acquisition specialist and help prospective candidates feel excited about our company mission and navigate their job search. While helping others explore the possibility in their careers, I also am passionate about clear recruitment processes that can be used over and over for fast-paced and specialty recruitment.
