Director of Corporate Legal Services, with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry and thorough knowledge and understanding of hospital sector regulatory requirements, guidelines and laws. Areas of practice include corporate/commercial, charity/non-profits, intellectual property and privacy. Currently responsible for the following-Strategic oversight of all Corporate Legal Services-Management of the Corporate Legal team and the Research Legal team (lawyers as well as support staff) at CAMH-Operational leadership and support on complex legal matters as the most senior legal advisor to CAMH clinical and corporate leadership-Providing strategic advice with respect to minimizing risk and potential liabilities and providing advice to the Chief Legal Officer on legal matters or strategy that represent risk to CAMH-Providing innovative, prudent, and timely legal support to CAMH’s corporate and research operations, by proactively assessing legal risks and navigating optimal legal remedies on behalf of corporate stakeholders. The scope of my current role also involves providing legal support to the CAMH Board of Trustees Governance Committee, Compliance Office (COI), the Policy Committee, as well as providing ongoing corporate legal support to the CAMH Foundation.
