About Kate Rodd

With a passion for earth and inter-disciplinary sciences, planet stewardship, and connecting with others, I am delighted to be a part of an organization that creates positive change. With CPAESS, the Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science, I work in a mentorship capacity with our NASA and NOAA postdoctoral students, and the NOAA WINGS PhD fellowship program. My skill set of communication, marketing, research, positive stakeholder relationships, and project coordination elevates my team, and UCAR/NCAR. I am very passionate about the important work we do at CPAESS. My work as a supervisor of postdoctoral and PhD Fellows, and coordinating international scientific events has honed my communication skills and ability form and foster long-term professional relationships around the globe. With my Program Coordinator expertise, I have been able to facilitate early career researchers connect with peers, and I have watched them go on to develop papers for publication, and expand their own scientific communities. Creatig these types of opportunities, and the development of connections that have been focal point of of my work, and has been immensely rewarding.
