About Kate Stitfold

I’m a sustainability advocate and community-focused professional with extensive experience in hospitality, operations, waste reduction, and stakeholder engagement. My work has centred around helping businesses and communities adopt practical, sustainable practices that create lasting environmental and social impact. As the founder of Changing Waste Patterns, I worked with businesses, hospitality venues, and community groups to reduce waste, improve resource recovery, and embed sustainable systems into everyday operations. While I am no longer providing consulting services, I continue to actively support organisations and initiatives that align with strong sustainable, social, and ethical values. I’m passionate about community-led change, circular economy principles, and creating practical solutions that make sustainability accessible and achievable. Through volunteer leadership roles, workshops, public events, and collaborative projects, I enjoy bringing people together to inspire action and positive cultural change. My background spans hospitality management, sustainability initiatives, stakeholder engagement, community education, and event coordination, with a strong focus on relationship building and operational excellence. I value authenticity, collaboration, and the power of small actions to create meaningful long-term impact.
